2025 OVGA Field Day #2A (men)

A little moisture didn’t deter players from shooting some great scores at eQuinelle Golf Club in Kemptville, Ontario on June 9, 2025 for the second men’s 2025 OVGA Field Day.  A total of 104 players made it on the tee sheet, with a healthy waiting list.

The top three players in Field Day #2A qualify to play in the Golf Quebec Alexander of Tunis Championship at Camelot Golf & Country Club on June 23/24, and the OVGA Match Play Championship at Gatineau Golf & Country Club on September 4/5 It is also a sanctioned event for OVGA Order-of-Merit points, leading to spots in the season-ending OVGA Cup Championship at Kanata Golf & Country Club on September 15th.

 
Leading the way in the Men’s A Division was Brad Goodman (Greensmere) with a stellar bogey-free round of 66 (-6) that included four birdies and one eagle.  Also punching their tickets into the Tunis were Samy Tahar (Royal Ottawa) with a 4-under 68, and Cedric Hughes (Casselview) close behind at 69 (-3).

In the Men’s B Division, Jimmy Tokaryk (Public Player) and Eric Irons (ClubEG) tied for first place at 79 (+7).  Both players will split the honours, the points and the PGA Ottawa prize vouchers.  Chris Glashan (Prescott) finished in solo third place.
