2025 OVGA Ethel Ferguson Winners
First Place - Team Canadian G&CC Second Place - Team Smiths Falls G&CC
On August 11, 2025, the OVGA hosted the annual Ethel Ferguson Tournament at Stonebridge Golf Club. This tournament brings together teams of three ladies from clubs across the region to recognize and thank them for their incredible contributions to their clubs. Despite the hot weather, it was a fantastic day of interclub match-play golf and celebration.
This year’s champion was the team of Jean Timmins, Monique Dubrule and Adele Doucet from the Canadian Golf & Country Club, securing the trophy with an impressive 69 points. Close behind were Lynn Pominville, Robin Milks and Bev Leach from Smiths Falls Golf & Country Club, earning 67 points for second place. Rounding out the top three teams were Lynn Arnone, Laura-Lee Melbourne and Barbara Kieley from Rideau View Golf Club with 66 points.
The OVGA extends its congratulations to the winners and sincere thanks to Stonebridge Golf Club, all participating clubs and players. Most importantly, this event continues to highlight and celebrate the dedicated volunteers whose passion and commitment keep our golf community thriving.
