The weather was perfect on September 15th, as were the course conditions for the playing of the 2025 OVGA Cup at the Kanata Golf and Country Club . The OVGA Cup, sponsored by GOLFOMAX, is our season-ending competition for the top 15 men, 15 women and 15 senior men based on their Order-of-Merit points and exemptions earned at our two OVGA Field Days and the OVGA City & District Championship during the year.

The Senior Men starting things off with Marc Carrier (GreyHawk) winning over Tom Henderson (Smiths Falls) in a playoff.  Both were at 72 (+2) after 18 holes. With his T5 finish, Michael Coon (Lombard Glen) wrapped up the Senior Men's Order-of-Merit title by accumulating the most points over the entire season.

Brad Goodman (Greensmere) shot an impressive even-par round of 70 to capture his first OVGA Cup with a 5-stroke victory over Adam Kingsbury (Rideau View).  Jared Coyle (Carleton) locked up the Men’s Order-of-Merit after finishing in third place, one shot behind Kingsbury.

Ruixue Huang (Hautes Plaines) won the Women’s division following a one-hole playoff with Lise Jubinville (Hylands). Lise took home the Women’s Order-of-Merit trophy after another solid season.  Judy Collins from Hylands turned in another highlight of the day, scoring a hole-in-one on the 13th hole.
