2026 Junior Development Team
In operation since 2017, the OVGA Junior Development Team was created to recognize and support selected high-performance junior players in our region with their progression in competitive golf, supplementing the instruction they receive from their personal swing coaches. This program is based on player development principles of Golf Canada and Provincial Golf Associations, and includes an on-course practice session, course management principles and Rules of Golf education, in preparation for individual and team events in the upcoming golf season.
Team members are selected by a committee, typically in October/November each year. Invitations are sent out to selected juniors based on their season performance in local, provincial, and/or national competitions.
